The course contents a detailed description of new knowledge and basic principles of hierarchical planning of public transport system accenting the general transport planning and quantified transport demand. The course would be oriented on multiple and multi-level optimisation of passenger public transport system.

Knowledge of operation research methods, graph theory, optimisation methods, waiting-line theory, basic principles of transport technology, transport theory and system theory

Students should be able to design a proposal of public transport services in a specific area depending up the urban structure. They should use all levels of proposal planning process in public passenger transport with subsequent interpretation of proposed system efficiency.
