Synopsis:

The course develops the knowledge and skills acquired in RM1 and RM2 and its contents and scope are roughly at the same level as those of RZ5, however, for half of the time allotted in the timetable.

Requirements:

A pass in course RM2 (RZ4)

Mastery of the material covered in the syllabus for the given semester.

Active participation in class.

Regular attendance, i.e. a maximum of 3 absences per semester (or 6 absences for beginner courses). In justified cases, absences are assessed individually.

Proper preparation for each class, even in the case of

previous absences. Each absence must be made up for (e.g., with a written assignment).

Independent completion and timely submission of all written

assignments.

Final semester test with a minimum score of 60%.

Without the express permission of the instructor, students may not use any aids during the test.

In case of failure, the credit test may be repeated once. If the student fails the credit test on the second attempt, they must re-enroll in the course in the following academic year.

Students may take the exam after completing all courses and obtaining the relevant credits (5 courses at the Z level, 3 courses at the M and P levels). The exam consists of a written and an oral part.

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.

Study Objective:

Knowledge:

Knowledge of morphology, syntax, and lexis at the level appropriate to the course, paritcularly grammar typical of academic and more professional communication (passive voice, verb aspect, adjectives, participles); lexis related to economics, technology, and labour market; revision of phrases.

Skills:

To use the acquired knowledge in everyday communication and in more professional contexts, namely to read a specialised text, paraphrase and summarise it, extract important information, comment on it in writing and speaking; write a formal letter anc CV.
