Basics of urban drainage and drinking water distribution; Water sources, methods of treatment of waterground and surface water; Water treatment processes for drinking water: chemical preoxidation and disinfection; precipitation, flocculation, coagulation, dissolved air flotation; filtration, adsorption with activated carbon; ion exchange, membrane treatment methods; Wastewater treatment processes: Sedimentation, flotation; Activated sludge processes; Nitrification / denitrification / biological elimination of Phosphorus; Biofilm and large-scale treatment plant applications; Anaerobic processes, sludge stabilization, nutrient recovery; Gas management.
