Synopsis:

he aim of the proposed course is to expand the knowledge of the mandatory course Statistics 1 into the area of practical tasks. Students will learn to analyze their own data and process it into a seminar paper, which can become the basis for the analysis of their future qualification work.

Requirements:

Classified credit: Seminar paper (50%); seminar paper presentation (30%); participation and activity in seminars (20%)

Exercise 1: selection and preparation of real data sets.

Exercises 2-6: methods of examining dependencies (contingency table; analysis of variance; regression and correlation analysis (incl. multivariate regression analysis);

Exercise 7-9: time series analysis;

Exercise 10-11: processing of own data sets, preparation of presentation;

12-14: presentation and discussion of the outputs of own data analyses

Study Objective:

The goal of the study is to learn how to process real data for the purposes of bachelor's and master's theses, as well as for practice.
