Synopsis:

The goal is to care for patients with dicarded/failing basic life functions, in terms of specific and higly specialized approaches to the care of critically ill patients. In the field of resuscitation and intensive care focuses attention on the fundamentals of diagnosis, principles of continuous monitoringcare and treatment of patients with failing vital functions and the possibility of bioengineering subsstitution failing vital functions

Requirements:

Active participation in seminars, teachers require 100% attendance at seminars. The student receives credit for a combination of attendance and handle final test at 75 percent.

Syllabus of lectures:

Consciousness disorders, etiology, basic investigative and therapeutic procedures.

Injuries: brain and spinal cord injury, intracranial pressure monitoring function of the CNS.

Injuries to the chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremity trauma, loss injuries.

Thermal trauma.

A sudden stroke, seizures, infectious and inflammatory diseases of CNS.

Intoxication.

Urgent conditions in obstetrics and gynecology.

Emergency conditions in endocrinology.

Metabolism and nutrition disorders of salt and water management and acid-base balance.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Access to patient trauma and polytrauma.

Craniocerebral injury, assessment of consciousness, GCS, Glasgow Liege, of monitoring, care and treatment, intracranial pressure, monitoring and evaluation, intracranial hypertension, therapy.

Spinal injuries, assess the level of injury, failure monitoring, ventilation, circulation, thermoregulation, motor and sensory, special care and treatment.

Burns, frostbite, shock. Approaches to the different types of injury, method of treatment.

Sudden stroke (NCMP), seizures, infectious and inflammatory CNS disease - specific approaches to each unit. Basic characteristics of the NCMP - thrombosis, embolism, therapeutic window, thrombolysis, intracerebral hemorrhage, SAH, venous thrombosis.

Intoxication, general and specific approaches to the patient with intoxication, identifying the type of poisoning, decontamination, elimination, elimination bioengineering methods.

Nursing care in the I: IV at birth, the mother of investigations before and during childbirth, management of labor. Bleeding during pregnancy (miscarriage, placenta praevia, placental abruption, ectopic pregnancy). Complications in the third. time of birth and the postpartum period. Pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, embolism in pregnancy, obstetric haemorrhage.

Conditions associated with hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, and hypothyreotická hyperthyreotická crisis Addisonská crisis.

ABR disturbances, Sigard - Andersen nomogram therapy of ABR and water and salt management.

Special conditions in emergency pediatrics: shortness of breath, impaired circulation, impaired thermoregulation, and seizure disorder, multiple trauma.

Study Objective:

To acquaint students with the care of patients with discarded / failing / basic life functions, in terms of specific and highly specialized approaches to the care of critically ill patients.
