Czech for Foreigners - Beginners 2

It is a condition for enrolment in course 04XCESZ2 that the student must have received credit for the course 04XCESZ1 in a previous semester

In order to register for the course 04XCESZ3, the student must have received credit for the course 04XCESZ2 in a previous semester.

Synopsis:

The language and communication competences acquired in CESZ1 are further developed. Students extend their knowledge of Czech declension and conjugation system and practise communication of frequent topics. The course covers roughly lessons 6-10 in „Chcete mluvit česky“ by H. Remediosová and E. Čechová. At the end of the course, the students will have reached A2 (CEFR) approximately.

Outline:

noun and adjective declensions in plural and the respective prepositions,

comparison of adjectives and adverbs,

ordinal numbers,

expressing amount (food, money), expressing time relations,

conjugation of verbs in future and tense, conditionals, verbs of motion,

time and conditional clauses,

short speeches, writing of shorter texts

Topics: on a visit, free time, shopping, food, in a restaurant, weather seasons and weather,

Syllabus of tutorials:

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.

Study Objective:

At the end of the course, the students will have reached A2 (CEFR) approximately.
