The aim of the course is to deepen the theoretical knowledge of network technologies and protocols in the environment of network servers administrated under the operating systems Linux and Windows. The course syllabus requires the knowledge at the level of courses BIE-PSI, BIE-VPS, and BIE-OSY. Practical skills will be gained by practical hands-on experience with real network infrastructure.

Knowledge of computer networks and operating systems at the level of courses BIE-UOS.21, BIE-PSI.21, BIE-VPS.21, and BIE-OSY.21.
- Syllabus of lectures:

1. Dynamic address configuration in computer networks.
2. AAA (authentication, authorization, and accounting).
3. Identity Management.
4. Certification authority and application of certificates.
5. The TLS protocol.
6. Web server configuration (HTTP/HTTPS).
7. Usage of hardware devices for secure web traffic (HTTPS protocol).
8. Mail server configuration.
9. Secure email (S/MIME).
10. Firewall, application firewall, reverse proxy, access server.
11. Virtual private network (VPN) configuration.
12.Protocols for computer networks monitoring.
13. Penetration testing.
