Synopsis:

The subject is oriented to providing the students basic information and practical skills from the area of digital and IP networks. The subject is acredited under the Cisco Netacad - CCNA1 - R&S Introduction to Networks.

Requirements:

The subject is taught as blended-distance. The student has to study the provided materials. The most important keypoints will be explained in class. Successful accomplishment of CCNA1 final test and final lab.

2. Configuring a Network Operating System

3. Network Protocols and Communications

4. Network Access

5. Ethernet

6. Network Layer

7. Transport Layer

8. IP Addressing

9. Subnetting IP Networks

10. Application Layer

11. It's a Network

12. Final test, Final lab

- Switchport security

- VLAN and trunking

- Static routing

- Dynamic routing: RIP, EIGRP, OSPF

- Gateways

Study Objective:

The goal of this subject is to provide the students in the area of structure, security and configuration for small to medium sized entworks. The students will understand the phisolophy of ISO/OSI, TCP/IP and hierarchical design, operation and control for networks. The students will be able to design and implement Ethernet networks according to given requirements. On top of the physical design they will be able to implement the IPv4 address and routing schemes.
