Synopsis:

Materials used for bearing structures. Developments in the area of regulations and standardization. Causes of defects, malfunctions, survey of objects, static assumptions of reconstruction. Possibilities of strengthening, strengthening of steel and timber structures and strengthening of connections. Using of computers in reconstructions and development of numerical models.

Requirements:

Timber structures 1 (134TS1) and Steel Structures 1(134SS1) nebo Steel and Timber Structures 1 (134OD1A) and Steel and Timber structures 2 (134OD2A)

Syllabus of lectures:

Development of the material base, design according to standards, reconstruction of steel structures (tension, compression and bended structures), reconstruction of joints, reconstruction of Timber structures, reconstruction of joints of Timber structures

Syllabus of tutorials:

Calculation of the reinforcement of the existing steel structure for the new load, Reconstruction of the wooden supporting elements including the design of the joints

Study Objective:

Gaining knowledge about the reconstruction of steel and wooden structures and their basic structural elements.
