Synopsis:

Aircraft piston engine, theoretical background, operational characteristics and construction schemes. Propellers, operational characterictics. Turbine engine, theoretical background, thermal cycles, construction schemes, operational characteristics. Turbojet and turbofan engines, basic construction modules, and their operational characteristics. Engine control.

Study Objective:

Explain principles of the operation and theoretical fundamentals regarding aircraft propulsion, aircraft piston and turbine engines in extent and content fullfiling as a minimum the requirements of the Learning Objectives of the JAR - FCL1 Regulation concerning training of professional bachelors in the field of Professional Pilots.
