Synopsis:

The aim of the course is to introduce the Gnuplot program to students and teach them to use this flexible, universal and free tool to produce various graphs and images from data. This capability can then be applied within other courses where they need to produce graphs and images from data (practical classes, etc.) and also later in applied research.

1.Introduction to the program, basic startup and usage.

2.Basic usage of the plot command to draw functions and data, math. expressions and simple data ops.

3.Work with data files.

4.Strings, loops and variables.

5.Styles.

6.Graph labels, legend, layers and positions.

7.Axes.

8.Colors and appearance.

9.Terminals and output formats.

10.Scripting, automatic processing and animation.

11.Interactive usage.

12.Basic techniques of graphical analysis.

13.Further usage.
