It is a condition for enrolment in course 04APS2 that the student must have received credit for the course 04APS1 in a previous semester

In order to register for the course 04APO1, the student must have received credit for the course 04APS2 in a previous semester.

In order to register for the course 04APS3, the student must have received credit for the course 04APS2 in a previous semester.

Synopsis:

The course 04APS2 is a sequel to course 04APS1. Its purpose is also to correctly use and revise further English grammar structures as acquired and develop them.

Requirements:

Students must receive at least 60% on the final test in order to pass (unless they are sanctioned for missing homework). Students are only allowed to re-take the test one time and the minimum re-take score is 70%.

Attendance is required. Only 3 absences are allowed per semester without a legitimate excuse (serious illness, for example). If a student is absent for more than 3 lessons, they will not be allowed to do the zápočet. Please come to class on time. Coming more than 20 minutes late will be counted as an absence.

Students who do not complete the homework will receive a 3% deduction from their final grade for each missed assignment. Students who miss 5 or more assignments will not be able to take the credit test.

Syllabus of lectures:

Revision and further extension of grammar structures, namely: noun patterns, possessive pronouns, articles, adjectives and adverbs and their forms, types of pronouns.

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.

To revise and further extend English grammar seen as a complex structure, namely: noun and noun phrases, plurals, possessives, „one“, articles, some - any - no - every, either - neither - nor, pronouns.

Skills:

To use correct and appropriate grammar structures in expressing ideas in all APIN courses both in speaking and writing.
