Synopsis:

The one-semester course aims to acquaint students with the basics of social and cultural anthropology as a scientific discipline dealing with the diversity of the world - examples from anthropological research from our „exotic“ cultures (topics: kinship, religion, social exclusion, migration, globalization, , material culture, language, health, history, death, etc ...) will be shown.

The course is presented in Czech.

Anthropology as a scientific discipline; Research methods; Family in the perspective of anthropology; Musical anthropology; Nationalism; Culture and language; Historical Anthropology; Medical Anthropology; Anthropology of Religion; Ethics; Applied Anthropology; Interspecies anthropology; Media in the European context; Evolution and Culture ...

In each semester, the order and variation of the topics discussed vary slightly.

Syllabus of tutorials:

There are not exercises.

Study Objective:

The lectures are designed primarily to offer non-anthropologist students an expanded outlook through a field of practice of the humanities, thanks to the multicultural nature of the world today (working in international societies, traveling).
