- Department of Nuclear Reactors
- Synopsis:
-
This subject represents short introduction into display methods, technical drawing in different fields and geography. The goal is to familiarize students with multidisciplinary fundamentals so they were able to read and understand whatever drawing which describe nuclear facility (machine and its subsystems, control system, etc.), its building and its equipment (air distribution system, cable distribution, etc.) including site. Part of the course is also familiarization with digital systems for storage of drawings and another associated data and information, with standardized formats and conversions between systems.
- Requirements:
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
1. Display methods and introduction to descriptive geometry. (2 lectures + training)
2. Introduction to technical drawing - types and requirements of technical drawings, diagrams, technical standardization and its utilization at drawing. (1 lecture + training)
3. Introduction to technical drawing - lines types, scale, cut and cross section, detail, dimensioning principles, size tolerance. (1 lecture + training)
4. Engineering drawings and diagrams - rules of drawings, dimensioning, surface finish, size tolerance, fundamental standardized shapes and parts, drawing methods and further technical documentation. (2 lectures + training)
5. Electrical drawings and diagrams - rules of drawings in heavy current electrical engineering and light current electrical engineering, schematic symbols. (1 lecture + training)
6. Pipe systems and air distribution - rules of drawings, schematic symbols. (1 lecture + training)
7. Building drawings - rules of drawings, dimensioning, schematic symbols, complex drawing of building. (1 lecture + training)
8. Geodetic mapping, maps and their parts. (1 lecture + training)
9. CAD systems, data formats, databases, conversion between data formats, plotting, digitalization of old technical documentation. (1 lecture + training)
10. Other types of documentation. (1 lecture + training)
- Syllabus of tutorials:
