Synopsis:

Basic classification of building structures, basics of building structures - construction elements, construction systems, construction technology, construction process. Technical documentation - levels of technical documentation, principles of technical documentation. Foundation structures of buildings - construction trenchs, surface foundations, deep foundations. Substructure - construction, expansion, waterproofing. Load-bearing tructures of buildings - vertical land horizontal oad-bearing structures, roof structures - building technical solutions. Overhanging structures, stairs and ramps - structural and material solutions. Completion construction - types, technology, construction technical solutions.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction, basic classification, terminology, legislation

2. Construction technology, construction process, use of geodetic measurement.

3. Structural elements and structural systems.

4. Technical documentation - levels of technical documentation, principles of technical documentation.

5. Foundation structures - types of construction trenchs, surface foundations.

6. Foundation structures - deep foundations. Substructure - design principles.

7. Substructure - expansion, waterproofing.

8. Vertical and horizontal load-bearing structures.

9. Roofs of buildings - roof construction, roof envelopes.

10. Overhanging structures, stairs and ramps.

11. Completion construction – envelopes of buildings, windows, partitions, floors, suspended ceilings.

12. Examples from practice - constructions/defects/expert opinion.

13. Tutorial.

Study Objective:

The student will acquire a basic orientation in terminology, in constructions of building structures, in technologies and the construction process of building structures, including the follow-up to the technical documentation.
