- Department of Railway Structures
- Synopsis:
-
The subject is created to get acquainted with the possibilities of predicting the noise load from rail transport using prediction software.
- Requirements:
-
There are no requirements.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
1. Materials for creating a noise study
2. Prediction software - materials for the creation of AS.
3. Creation of a computational model in prediction software
4. Calculation methodologies in prediction software
5. Postprocessing - work with measured data.
6. Model calibration, comparison with measured data.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
Exercises supplement and deepen knowledge from lectures. The exercises are practically interwoven with illustrative lectures of the subject.
As part of the course, acoustic measurements will be carried out in the field - sound level meter.
- Study Objective:
-
The aim of the subject is to acquire and master working with selected prediction software for determining noise load at a normal user level. The skills will be applied to calculate a simple noise situation.
