Synopsis:

The lectures are devoted to the issue of selected types of civil buildings, especially buildings for healthcare, education, and transport. The lectures focus on operational ties, operational circuits within structures, specific requirements from various points of view - from social to, for example, hygienic. They also note the urban context, technological requirements and construction specifics, typical for the respective range of buildings.

The exercises follow the lectures.

Requirements:

Before registering for the exam, it is necessary to obtain a credit, the granting of credit is conditional on the submission of exercises of the required quality.

Syllabus of lectures:

The order of the lectures may vary depending on the lecturers' other activities during the semester.

1.-2. Buildings for education and training - Kindergartens and preschool facilities. Functions, breakdown, specific requirements according to location, type of facility, educational programs. Alternative options and related disposition changes. Primary, secondary and vocational schools. System, educational system, basic and alternative types of teaching. Educational system. Hygienic, sociological, cultural demands. Types of school buildings and campuses. Tall bikes and college campuses.

3.-4. Buildings for cultural and social purposes - galleries and exhibition spaces and related facilities of these types of buildings. Specific requirements, urban conditions, urban context. Theaters and concert halls. Libraries, cultural and educational institutions. Inclusion in the educational system, importance for the development of municipalities and regions. Specific operating requirements with regard to the scope of activity and inclusion in the system of similar institutions. Urban contexts, system of cultural facilities in the city, village, state.

5-6 Administrative buildings. Brief development of ADB with respect to layout, work environment and function changes. Contemporary trends in the development of administrative activities with regard to the development of technologies. Ergonomic and hygienic requirements for administrative activities. Related operations in administrative buildings (rest, catering,...). Examples of progressive solutions. Breeam, Leed certification.

7-8 Buildings for trade and services - urban context, importance in the structure of the city, basic operational requirements and specific requirements. Examples.

9-10 Buildings for healthcare. Health care system - requirements for medical, treatment and spa areas, specifics of individual facilities according to scope, professional focus and local conditions. Specific devices and their specific requirements. Solving the basic arrangement of individual operating units within the health care system.

11.-12. Buildings for the elderly - special health care system - care for the elderly, care for people with dementia. Palliative care. Specific demands of individual facilities according to the type and scope of care and services provided. Social contexts and a contemporary view of life in old age.

13. -14. Buildings for sports - system and purpose of sports buildings, urban planning requirements, system requirements. Open and covered facilities. Circle of visitors and circle of athletes. Access, visibility, security requirements. Operating lines in various types of sports buildings, division by sports sectors. Recreational sports and relaxation. Examples of solutions.

15. Religious buildings and community centers. The function of these types of buildings, involvement in the life of society, importance for social structure and ties. Examples of the latest implementations and their impact on the functioning of communities.

16. Membrane structures. Development, implementation examples, specific application possibilities.

Syllabus of tutorials:

The exercises focus on the processing of five different typological types, both in general and detailed assignments. The first exercise follows on from the end of the previous semester (buildings for catering), the other exercises follow on from the lectures. The scope and method of submission, method of presentation and specific assignment will be communicated by the teacher at the first exercise.

Study Objective:

The aim of the courses is to provide knowledge and a basic overview that will enable them to develop projects in subjects AT01 and AT02 - that is, large and small civil structures. Lectures and exercises are designed in such a way that the student is able to draw up an operational and layout diagram of an individual building and a group of buildings, evaluate their parameters and establish basic layout connections, including related aspects such as traffic at rest (parking), connection to public space and economy of operation.
