- Synopsis:

Elaboration of the structural part of the project documentation for the given structure (part of the structure). The design of the selected variant of the structure with regard to the requirements of other professions. Structural analysis and drawing documentation to the extent specified during consultations.
The Department of Architectural Engineering (K124) and Geotechnics (K135) collaborate in teaching in the course.
- Requirements:

Active presence (max. 3 absences) and regular consultations, processing of required outputs for the structural part as well as the part of building construction and foundation (classification from both cooperating departments), presentation of the project.

- Syllabus of tutorials:

1st week: Selection of the assigned structure, specification of the assignment
2nd – 3rd week: Variants of structural system, consultations related with collaborating departments, choice of variant for structural analysis
4th - 6th week: Calculation of loads, preliminary analysis, sketch of structural system variants, choice of structural members for detailed analysis and assigning drawing documentation. The design of foundations.
7th -10th week: Structural drawings, selection of calculation models and methods, detailed structural analysis and drawings of assigned elements, Technical report. Consultation of structural drawings, calculations, drawings of reinforcement layout, details. Foundations design and drawings.
11th -13th week: Processing and completion of text and drawing documentation. Presentation and discussion of results.

Improving knowledge in designing concrete and masonry structures, using of the knowledge in the design project of a real structure and the development of project documentation with respect to the requirements of the function of the object and other professions.
