Synopsis:

Heart and physiology of cardiac activity. General anatomy of blood vessels, main arteries of the body, overview of veins and physiology of blood, blood clotting. Overview of nerves. CNS. Visual system and physiology of the visual system. Auditory and vestibular system and physiology of hearing and balance. Skin, endocrine glands.

Requirements:

Required prerequisity is 16ZBAF1.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Endocrine glands, mammary gland, skin. (anatomy)

2. Heart, arteries, veins, lymphatic system, spleen. (anatomy)

3. Hormonal regulation, pregnancy tests, osteoporosis. (physiology)

4. Cardiac activity, blood pressure measurement, blood pressure model. (physiology)

5. Blood function, era counting, leu, hematocrit, sedimentation. (physiology)

6. Cranial nerves, autonomic nerves, spinal nerves. (anatomy)

7. General neurophysiology. ECG. (physiology)

8. CNS. (anatomy)

9. Sleep, wakefulness, rhythms. (physiology)

10. Senses. (anatomy)

11. Senses. Examination of sight and hearing. Threshold of pain and touch. (physiology)

12. Learning. Memory testing and reflexes. (physiology)

13. Demonstration at the autopsy room.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of medical terminology. Basics of human anatomy and physiology (vascular system, nervous system). Knowledge of the human senses from an anatomical and physiological point of view.

Abilities:

Orientace v základní lékařské terminologie a stavbě a funkcích člověka (zejména pro potřeby radiologického technika/fyzika).
