Applied mechanics for vehicle systems. Driving forces, driving resistance. Tire-road surface contact. Slide under slide characteristics. Vertical dynamics of vehicles, acceleration, braking. Horizontal dynamics, suspension and driving properties. Directional dynamics, characteristics of swerving. Driving stability conditions. Aerodynamic forces influencing the driving stability. Steering geometry and wheel suspending characteristics. Controlled and feedback systems. ABS and ESP.
