To describe and analyze the design problems of vehicle safety, It includes the understanding of traffic injury mechanisms, the definition of injury criteria and basic principles of crash mechanisms and restrain systems. Accidents reduction strategies, mechanism of vehicle deformation, EC tests description, epidemiology of injuries, models in injury biomechanics, AIS chart, head, thorax, neck injuries, crash-test dummies - design and features, safety belts, airbags, injury criteria, mathematical modeling (MADYMO, PAM-CRASH).<br>\r\nCar body design, deformation characteristics, material properties, structure of car body with respect to safety and performance.
