Garant předmětu:
Lecturer:
Tutor:
Supervisor:
Department of Biomedical Technology
Synopsis:

Basic power electronics, power supplies units including electrochemical supplies, rectifiers, stabilizers, common types of motors, basic distributions of electricity, types of electric systems and connecting of electric appliances with sight on medical purposes. The knowledge will be checked in the laboratory by mean of practical examples during the work in the laboratory.

Requirements:

Assessment (credit) requirements:

P1. Mandatory attendance at exercises (apology only for serious and documented reasons).

P2. One completed report from the topic safety and functional inspection of the selected medical device (mandatory part of the credit, no points)

P3. Two tests during the semester (see timeschedule), duration from 30 to 100 minutes, after each test there is necessary to obtain at least 50 points (max. one test, 100 points).

Exam conditions and requirements:

P1. Without obtaining credit and written credit within the IS KOS there is no possibility to take exam, i.e. test.

P2. There is required to use student identification card before exam test.

P3. Students must have turned off mobile phone and stored off it.

P4. There is possible to use calculator during the test. However, they are required only approximate calculations.

P5. As a basic requirement for students there are assumed knowledge as necessary mathematical, physical apparatus of the previous year of undergraduate study and basic skills in electrical engineering and electrical measurements.

P6. The test is composed as a written test from MCQ-type questions (always one answer is right) - 1 point max., opened questions 0-5 points max. (very important issues). Overall test includes 44 questions, i.e. 30 of MCQ (abc) 1 point and 14 questions opened 0-5 max. points. The correct answer according to the type of 0-5 points, marking more responses other than prescribed manner, is 0 points, no answer is 0 points, wrong answer is zero points. Minimum 50 points, max. 100 points. Corrections can be recorded for each MCQ type questions into the marked area. Proper response is characterized by bold framed cross into parts and repairs in addition to poorly framed sections. Everything is also mentioned within the test instruction. Test is evaluated according to the ECTS table. Total time allowed for the test is 120 minutes. The test is corrected common with the student and can be corrected by an oral examination in case of the number of points on the interface (plus / minus 2 points). Students in this case can accept the result based on a test, or to be further tested for better degree. In case of refusal evaluation will be classified as F.

P7. Overall tests assessment and thus the overall evaluation of the course is according to the ECTS grading scale.

Study Objective:

The aim of the education of subject power engineering on FBMI is to have knowledge from basics of power electronics and connecting of electric appliances with sight on medical purposes. The aim is not to gain detail knowledge with subject extension, but to introduce the students with the basics of power engineering. It is important to understand the physical basis of the problem.
