Synopsis:

The course introduces students to the specifics of the teaching profession at secondary vocational schools and training centers. It focuses on the professional roles and skills of teachers, the differences between novice and experienced educators, and orientation within pedagogical documents. The course also develops teachers legal and safety awareness, familiarizes students with common school-related risks, procedures in emergency situations, and the basic principles of occupational health and safety (OHS).

Requirements:

Active participation in seminars, completion of partial assignments from classes. The course is concluded with a final test.

Specifics of teaching at secondary vocational schools and training centers

Teaching as a profession; respect for the personality of the child and adolescent; model of teacher professionalization; particularities of the teaching profession

Study Objective:

The general objective of the course is to provide students with an overview of the specifics of the teaching profession, with a focus on teachers at secondary vocational schools. A partial objective is to develop orientation in pedagogical documents and to acquire legal and safety awareness necessary for the teaching profession.
