Synopsis:

Introduction to sustainable use of wood in construction with respect to previous courses. Theoretical methods of structural design and design of structures composed from different materials. Principles of strengthening and repairing of timber structures.

Syllabus of lectures:

Presentation sustainable use of wood in construction with respect to previous courses. Theoretical methods of structural design and design of structures composed from different materials. Principles of strengthening and repairing of timber structures.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Design of: roof beam, spaced column, step joint, notched beam, ceiling joint, timber-concrete floor, column for fire resistance.

Study Objective:

To teach with respect to previous courses more acurate and theoretical methods of structural design and design of structures composed from different materials and also with principles of strengthening and repairing of timber structures.
