Waste water composition. Mechanical treatment, grit chambers, screens, sedimentation. Biological treatment with activated sludge and biofilm reactors. Sludge treatment, aerobic and anaerobic stabilization.
SEWERAGE. Legislation, development of urban drainage, task of sewerage. Sewer systems, new trends in urban drainage, catchment retention, storm water tanks - arts, purpose. Surface runoff from the catchment, dimensioning methods of sewer systems. Reduction of surface runoff. Rational methods of dimensioning of combined and separate storm sewer systems. Simulation programmes used in the Czech Republic. Separate foul sewer systems. Technical conditions of sewer design. Material of sewers, connection. Foundation (statics) and building of sewers. Ancillary structures.
