Synopsis:

The diploma thesis is the final complex work prepared by students at the end of their university studies. The diploma thesis describes the given issue in a broader context, in which the student demonstrates the ability to work independently and an engineering approach.

The diploma thesis takes the form of either a project (reconstruction of a section of a railway line, study of new railway lines), a research (processing of an overview in a certain area) or a laboratory (including the execution and evaluation of specified laboratory tests), or a combined one.

Requirements:

The student must have completed the required subjects according to the study plan.

Syllabus of lectures:

The course does not have lectures.

Syllabus of tutorials:

The exercise concept is determined individually. The schedule and contents of the exercises are determined by the end of the 2nd week of education based on an agreement with the teacher. During the semester, work progress control days are set.

Study Objective:

The student should demonstrate independent activity on the assigned topic, orientation in the provided study materials, prepare and adhere to the schedule of proposed works, prepare and present work on the assigned topic.

Study materials:

Study materials are always recommended individually by the teacher and correspond to the given topic. Most often, study materials consist of specialized Czech and foreign literature, standards, regulations, methodological guidelines and professional articles.
