Overview of sensor principles for measurement of non-electrical variables (temperature, position, force, speed, acceleration, torque). Calibration and verification of measurement instruments.

1. Measurement system. Static properties of sensors and transducers, accuracy and sensitivity.

Uncertainty of measurement.

2. Dynamics of sensors. Electronic processing circuits.

3. Temperature sensors I (contact).

4. Temperature sensors II (non-contact).

5. Force and torque transducers.

6. Position and distance transducers.

7. RPM, Speed and acceleration.
