The course focuses on introduction to the origin and sources of medicinal substances, drug defines the concepts, terminology drugs and their place in the pharmacopoeia. To understand the effects of drugs such as lectures focused on issues and pharmacokinetic models and appropriately chosen examples demonstrated the kinetics of drugs in the body. Based on these findings are discussed systematically the basic pharmaceutical group focused on the mechanism of their effects

- Study Objective:

To acquaint students with the basic statement, which concerns the origin and sources of medicinal substances.
Students are gradually introduced to issues relating to drugs, formularies, drug terminology, pharmaceuticals, vegetable and various kinds of pharmacotherapy.
Part of the lectures is devoted to pharmacokinetics, which is applied to the models and examples. A substantial part of the lecture is then devoted to basic drug groups, their mechanism of action and technical means used in the field of pharmacotherapy.
