The subject focuses on specific knowledge in the field of automation technology applications, especially the use of industrial controllers, sensors, signal processing, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric actuators. The graduate will be able to navigate the choice of actuators, set the parameters of the controllers, and assemble individual parts of control chains.
It includes laboratory exercises on real industrial elements.

2. Compressed air and vacuum. Basics of pneumatics, design of simple pneumatic control circuits
3. Issues of signal overlap, SW environment Fluidsim,
4. Pneumatic motors and their control
5. Electropneumatics and basics of process technology, types of fittings, valves, gate valves, control valves
6. Basics of hydraulics for process control
7. Electric drives as actuators in automation. Electromagnets, stepper motors.
8. DC servo drives, synchronous motor and their control.
9. Asynchronous motor, frequency converter and AM control.
10. Digital panel controllers, characteristics, algorithms, parameter setting.
11. Sensor signal processing, analog and digital signal filtering.
12. Industrial communication systems, ISO/OSI model, physical, link and application layer.
13. Industrial buses (e.g. Profibus, CAN, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus AS-I ) properties, deployment
