Department of Software Engineering
Synopsis:

Team project. The graduate will gain experience in the following areas: project planning, management, and monitoring; ideation; risk analysis; and software support for teamwork. Teams are formed across specializations, so each group will also include students who will learn more details about project leadership, risk analysis, ideation, user interface design, and related topics in other courses of the program (for example, Software Product Development (ANI-TSW) or User Interface Design (ANI-NUR)).

Students work on the projects independently with the support of collaboration tools. In particular, they will use GitLab Premium, which the faculty provides, and which supports a wide range of tools for managing and implementing team projects.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:
Syllabus of tutorials:

Before or at the beginning of the semester, a joint meeting will be held for all students and the supervisors of individual projects, who may be university instructors or industry partners.

During this meeting, the final allocation of students into teams will take place. Students will also receive an introductory theoretical briefing covering project planning, management, and monitoring, as well as ideation, risk analysis, and software tools for collaborative work. This briefing will be only introductory, as teams will be composed across specializations. Each team will therefore include students who will later gain more detailed knowledge of project management, risk analysis, ideation, user interface design, and related topics in other courses within the program (for example, *Software Product Development* (ANI-TSW) or *User Interface Design* (ANI-NUR)).

Regular team meetings with project supervisors and, where applicable, domain experts from the corresponding project will follow. These meetings will serve to discuss partial results and define further tasks and project steps.

Additionally, students will work independently on their projects using collaborative tools, particularly the facultys *GitLab Premium* platform, which supports a wide range of functionalities for project management and team development.

Study Objective:

1. Introduce students to the environment available for carrying out projects and provide them with basic know-how.

2. Assemble project teams with an emphasis on including students from different specializations, taking into account the project topic.

3. During regular weekly meetings, implement the initial phases of the projecttypically analysis of the problem domain, design, and possibly the first functional prototype or proof of concept.
