Synopsis:

The aim of the course is to introduce the student with the procedures of specific instrumentation technologies used in the implementation of automated systems from commonly available components. The student will gain an overview of the production of standardized components, the method of their implementation, and their functional and limiting factors.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1) Radiation properties, VIZ, IR, UV, RTG, radiation-transmitting materials, safety limits.

2) Processing of glass and other optical materials, optical fibers, welding of optical communication paths.

3) Measurement of optical path properties, functional characteristics of optical fiber sensors.

4) Sensor placement in manufacturing processes, sensor calibration, measurement chain.

5) Lithographic technologies, packaging of electronic components.

6) Printed circuit technology, technological requirements, mechanical stress limits.

7) Assembly of electronic components, joining of metallic and non-metallic materials.

8) Production technology, assembly and adjustment of optics and electronics in a clean and controlled environment.

9) 3D printing of electronic systems technology with conductive inks.

10) Micromachining technology and manipulation of miniature components.

11) Methods of checking the installation of electrical components and optical components.

12) Specifications for the individual production of control instrument panels, connection with IP XX standards.

13) Cabling, media lines, bushings, device connectors, system commissioning and testing.
