- Synopsis:
-
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with available SW tools for technical calculations, both commercial and open-source. The intended SW tools include, for example, MATLAB, Scilab, (numerical calculations) and Wolfram Mathematica, Maple (symbolic calculations), Python and Julia (universal). The course focuses on technical practice and aims at the effective use of various SW tools. Individual tools are presented in the context of simplified examples from technical practice so that it is easier for students to understand the applicability of the acquired knowledge. Students will gain authentic experience with various SW tools, and they will be able to decide which of the tools to use appropriately to solve a given problem.
