Basic skills for creating and presenting student theses. Individual exercises focus on creating and formatting texts, equations, charts, tables, presentations and entire documents in an office suite.

1.Introduction, information resources available to students (scientific literature and databases, software), structure of a scientific thesis.
2.Word processor I (basics of Word, text insertion and formatting principles, font types, typographic rules, automatic spell checkers).
3.Word processor II (creating equations, tables, figures and placing them in text).
4.Word processor III (advanced formatting and styles, table of contents creation, references, automatic numbering and links).
5.Document encryption, electronic signature.
6.Spreadsheet I (Excel basics - book, sheet, cells and addressing, cell contents, formulas and functions, inserting and importing data, filtering and sorting data).
7.Spreadsheet II (creating scientific graphs - basic types and formatting).
8.Spreadsheet III (statistical tools).
9.Spreadsheet IV (advanced functions).
10.Creating a scientific document (creating an outline, inserting individual parts and elements, possibilities of collaboration on the document with the supervisor).
11.Presentation of results of scientific work (creation of PowerPoint presentation, pdf document, poster).
12.Alternatives to MS Office (LibreOffice, LaTeX - Overleaf).
