The student demonstrates a thorough command of secondary school chemistry knowledge and skills, with an emphasis on a pedagogical perspective on the subject matter. The student understands the interconnections among various chemistry topics, is familiar with the educational objectives of individual topics as well as broader thematic units, and is able to apply this knowledge both in teaching and in the development of school educational programmes and thematic teaching plans. The student is familiar with specific methods and forms of chemistry instruction and is able to effectively apply them in the preparation of lessons, teaching materials, and in achieving specific educational goals.
