Synopsis:

The course focuses on new, modern, and unconventional methods for collecting geospatial data and presenting it, with a particular emphasis on methods for visualizing the collected data.

Requirements:

Attendance at the exercises and a score of at least 70% on the final written exam. This also includes an independent project, which is due at the end of the semester.

Syllabus of lectures:

The course consists solely of exercises, but at the beginning it is necessary to explain the principles of 3D modeling and visualization methods

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Processing data from terrestrial and mobile laser scanners, model creation, exchange formats

2. Photogrammetric modelsground-based measurements and drones, model merging, exchange formats

3. Creating models from point clouds, model meshing, texturing

4. Editing created models and exporting them

5. Visualization methods (3D applications for point clouds and meshes)

6. Conversion to CAD software, Revit basics

7. Virtual and augmented reality, model requirements, decimation, textures

8. Conversion of models to VR and AR, game engines 1

9. Converting models to VR and AR, game engines 2

10. Application of models VR and AR Lab 1

11. Application of models VR and AR Lab 2

12. Videogrammetry and visualization

13. Geophysical methods and their visualization
