Requirements:

Completion of the subject with an exam

- Completion of the final test.

Credit fulfillment conditions

- As part of the exercise, students prepare a seminar paper on a given topic.

- Participation in an excursion and an invited lecture on a current topic.

Conditions for passing the exam

A written test containing questions evenly covering the individual lectured topics of the course, including compulsory literature. The test will be solved in the form of 20 open questions. The student will have a limit of 40 minutes to complete the test. For each correct answer, the student gets 5 points. In total, a maximum of 100 points = 100% can be obtained for the subject, with the following distribution of results:

A – 93 - 100 points

B – 92 -85 points

C – 84 -77 points

D – 76 – 69 points

E – 68 – 60 points

F – 59 or less points

The condition for obtaining credit is participation in an excursion, called a lecture, and the delivery of a seminar paper on a given topic.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction, basic terms, modern trends in public administration.

2. Environmental principles in the theory of public administration.

3. Principles of sustainable development and environmental policy at the global level.

4. Goals of sustainable development at the global level and at the level of the European Union.

5. Environmental principles of contemporary public administration abroad.

6. The Green Deal for Europe and the Fit for 55 package in relation to quality of life.

7. Goals of the implementation of the Fit for 55 package and tools for their enforcement, expected effects.

8. The role of regional governments in the implementation of the Green Agreement.

9. The role of local governments in the implementation of the Green Deal.

10. Examples of good practice 1.

11. Examples of good practice 2.

12. Examples of good practice 3 / Invited lecture on a current topic.

13. Excursion.

Syllabus of tutorials:

As part of the exercise, students prepare a seminar paper on a given topic. The exercise takes place in the form of individual consultations with students.

Study Objective:

The purpose of the subject is to explain the current and expected future actions of the public administration in the context of changes in the economy and society resulting from the measures that should lead to the fulfillment of the objectives of the Green Deal for Europe. The entire issue will be placed in the context of international goals of sustainable development, innovations in industry and economic impacts on society.

A student who has successfully completed the course can explain the principles of the Green Deal for Europe, explain the measures associated with the implementation of the Fit for 55 package. They can also characterize the Green Deal for Europe and the related Fit for 55 package in relation to the management of cities and regions and the benefits of expected problems in the implementation of these measures.

A student who has successfully completed the course will be able to use real examples to show the impact of the implementation of the Green Deal for Europe on the life of society, evaluate the basic aspects of the proposed projects and solutions in relation to the measures declared in the Fit for 55 package, or Green Deal for Europe.

A student who has successfully completed the course is able to make independent and responsible decisions in new or changing contexts, taking into account the wider social consequences of decisions, to define assignments for professional activities and coordinate them according to the developing contexts and available resources; is also able to independently solve an ethical problem and communicate his own professional opinions clearly and convincingly to experts and the wider public.
