Relations:

In order to register for the course 04APPZK, the student must have successfully completed in previous semesters the required number of courses in the group PREREKKHVJ7.

It is a condition for enrolment in course 04APPZK that the student must have received credit for the course 04API in a previous semester

Synopsis:

The course prepares students for the C1 Advanced (CAE) exam.

Students deepen the skills they have already acquired in reading, writing, use of English, listening, and speaking and practise them in exam tasks of different types. Students will also become aware of various strategies which can help them to succeed in the exam. The course is designed for advanced APIN students. A student can enrol in the course only if they have passed all the respective courses and examinations (04AP3KK, 04APAK, and 04API). At the end of the course there is a mock exam.

Requirements:

Advanced level of English (approx. C1); completed courses: 04AP3KK, 04APAK, and 04API.

Syllabus of lectures:

The syllabus is based on the CAE exam. Particular exam tasks in reading,writing, use of English, listening, and speaking are practised.

Syllabus of tutorials:

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.
