Synopsis:

The goal of the subject Communication and dealing with people is to improve and develop students' existing communication skills and master the basic rules of communication and negotiation in work practice. At the same time, there is a basic orientation of the students in the wide range of literature and electronic resources in this area

Requirements:

Student requirements: active participation in exercises, solving practical tasks,

Verification of study results: submission of two written reports (analysis of a selected speech, development of communication in the 21st century)

Syllabus of lectures:

• Human communication (intrapersonal, interpersonal, group, inter-group, public speaking)

• Communication processes, components, tools, skills

• Communication as part of the qualification of every worker for an executive or leadership position.

• Listening, relational ties as a component of communication

• Verbal communication (rhetoric), its types, means and tools, communication manipulation and counter-manipulation

• Non-verbal communication, its types, means and tools, the third layer of communication

• Presentation and self-presentation

• Negotiation incl. conflict resolution and negotiation with problem persons

• How not to be deceived in communication

• Non-contact methods of communication

• Development of communication in the 21st century
