Synopsis:

The subject comprehensively addresses the issue of logical and intelligent control.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1. Fundamentals of control engineering.

2. Boolean algebra, basic definitions, examples.

3. Expression of logical functions.

4. Minimization of logical functions, basic concepts.

5. Minimization of logical functions using Boolean algebra, minimization using maps.

6. Minimization using the Quine-McCluskey method.

7. Threshold majority functions.

8. Implementation of logical functions.

9. Hazards in combinational circuits. Flip-flop circuits.

10. Synchronous and asynchronous sequential circuits and automata.

11. System and intelligent control in the KNX environment and SAVEE and DALI interface solutions.

12. LOXONE, FOXTROT, and other intelligent building systems.

13. Smart energy and Smart Grids.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the issue of logical control in connection with intelligent control systems in smart buildings, as well as buildings with definedenergy consumption. Students will be able to master this issue at the level of a designer and developer of building control systems.
