Synopsis:

The course is focused on the development of managerial skills in managing human resources in the organization. Through lectures and seminars, students will learn effective strategies, policies, and practices for efficient human resource management in the organization and the main tasks of managers in various activities of human resource management in the organization.

Requirements:

1) Individual Presentation (40%)

2) Midterm Test (20%)

3) Final Test (40%)

1) Individual Presentation (40%):

Students are required to prepare an individual PowerPoint presentation (about 20 minutes) on a topic related to human resource management.

Students can choose any topic they like. They can think up their topic. The design of the presentation is up to students. They will present their presentation during lectures/seminars according to the agreed schedule. Required presentation content is:

a title slide;

a slide with goal and method (source) definitions;

a few slides with main facts and findings;

a slide with 2 to 3 questions for discussion;

a slide with conclusions to be remembered;

a slide with references meeting the APA Style.

Students are required to upload their presentation to the Moodle on the day of their presentation and name the file as follows: Last name_ presentation (e.g., Smith_ presentation). Students can get 0-40 points according to the following criteria:

Goal and method definitions: 0-8

Findings and discussion: 0-8

Applications and conclusions: 0-8

Presentation skills and design: 0-8

References and other formalities: 0-8

2) Midterm test (20%):

The midterm test is taken online in the Moodle in week 8. It covers the knowledge of 2-7 lectures. It includes 10 ABCD questions (one correct); correct: 2 points; incorrect: 0 points; maximum: 20 points. The limit is 15 minutes.

3) Final test (40%):

The final test is taken online in the Moodle in week 15 or in the examination period. It covers the knowledge of 2-14 lectures. It includes 20 ABCD questions (one correct); correct: 2 points; incorrect: 0 points; maximum: 40 points. The limit is 25 minutes.
