Basic information about BIM and the link to geodetic measurements. Ways of obtaining and processing geodetic data for the BIM model. Measurement methods in relation to LOG and LOD. Creation of a simple BIM model.

1. Building Information Modeling (BIM). Connections between CAD, GIS and BIM.
2. Data standards, data sources in the Czech Republic, data management under construction.
3. Technical standards, laws and decrees. IFC data model.
4. Detailedness of the BIM model – Level of Detail, Level of Definition
5. Methods of data acquisition following the requirements of detail.
6. Practical examples of BIM models from geodetic orientation.
- Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Acquaintance with sw. Autodesk Revit, basic settings, basic geometric elements (walls, ceilings, floors,...)
2. Modeling the structure of the building - family (windows, doors, equipment...)
3. Modeling of the structure of the building - staircase, roof
4. Coordinate reference points, point cloud import, terrain relief geometry
5. Creation of objects from a point cloud
6. Export of the model and its presentation.
- Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of basic knowledge in the field of building information management (BIM). In particular, students will be introduced to the connections between CAD, GIS and BIM, data management in construction, links to technical standards, the structure of information in the IFC data model, the creation of BIM geometry in terms of detail and practical examples of BIM creation from geodetic orientation using laser scanning. The exercises are designed so that students can practically try out the creation of a BIM model of a building object focused by laser scanning.
