- Synopsis:
-
The aim of the subject is to introduce students to modern methods of experimental verification of material properties using specifically tailored experimental means of their own design/construction such that will be manufactured with the aid of 3D printing. Materials investigated within the course can be, for example, composites with a functional microstructure, metamaterials, very flexible (soft) materials with applications in soft robotics or biomedicine. During the course, the enrolled students are expected to design their own test procedure, including the design and assembly of a prototype of their own experimental equipment and control software for a chosen problem, ideally directly related to their dissertation topic.
- Requirements:
-
Seminar thesis
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
1.-13. lectures on the subject of introduction of modern experimental methods for investigation of material characteristics, introduction of experimental devices and sensors, prototyping by using 3D print and design of testing device.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
1.-13. work in the laboratory and 3D print
