- Synopsis:
-
The course is focused on practicing the design and drawing of building structures, including their assessment from the point of view of building physics. Students will become familiar with and/or improve in structural designs of buildings, preliminary dimensioning and drawing of building structures. They will learn basic building physics calculations in the field of thermal protection of buildings, building acoustics, sun exposure and daylighting.
- Requirements:
-
Nothing special.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
There are no lectures.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
1) Design of the structural system of the building in three variants, including empirical design of supporting elements.
2) Description of the material solution. The design of the perimeter structure with regard to ensuring the requirements regarding one-dimensional heat propagation.
3) Structural and preliminary static design of a monolithic / prefamonolithic / prefabricated ceiling structure. Drawing of the shape and composition of the ceiling structure.
4) Structural design of the slab staircase, delimitation of the staircase space, floor plan and section of the staircase.
5) Eliminating the impact noise and drawing the detail of the connection of the stair arms to the landing
6) Structural and preliminary static design of surface foundations according to the 1st geotechnical category. Drawing of the ground plan of the foundations, including partial sections.
7) Design of the waterproofing of the substructure depending on the permeability of the subsoil and the level of the groundwater level. Drawing a vertical section in the place of a cellar skylight or an English backyard.
8) Design of dilatation modifications of supporting structures due to different settlement and thermal expansion.
9) Structural design of the truss with regard to the floor plan of the building.
10) Assessment of the roof structure with regard to one-dimensional heat spread, exclusion of mold and elimination of possible condensate. Detail of he roof in the place of the overhanging structure.
11) Assessment of the sun exposure of the selected apartment or family house. The design of the lighting opening in the selected room with the aim of ensuring a sufficient amount and quality of daylight.
12) Design of an inter-apartment wall with regard to ensuring its sound insulation, design of a floating floor.
13) Evaluation of noise in the room, proposal of absorption modifications.
