Synopsis:

Division of individual welding methods and description of their basic principles, used equipment, applications and method of use. Flame welding and oxygen cutting, electric arc, welding sources for arc welding, manual welding with a coated electrode (manual metal arc), submerged arc welding, welding in protective atmospheres, resistance welding. Division and description of individual soldering methods. Basics of industrial adhesive bonding. Basics of quality control of the welding process (qualification of welding personnel and welding procedures). Basics of inspection of welded joints (non-destructive and destructive methods). Basics of weldability of metallic materials.

2) Oxy- fuel welding and related technologies

3) Fundamentals of electric arc

4) Sources for arc welding

5) Manual electric arc welding with a coated electrode

6) Introduction to welding in protective atmospheres

7) GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)

8) GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)

9) Welding by SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) and ESW (Electroslag welding) method

10) Resistance welding

11) Basics of soldering and brazing

12) Basics of adhesive bonding

13) Basic of thermal cutting
