Synopsis:

The course provides a theoretical basis for professional technical courses. Exercises are focused on the unification of the entry level and sufficient practice and improvement of basic parts of mathematics, especially on expressions, elementary functions, derivatives and their use. The scope of the lectures is an insight into other areas of mathematics, connections with other subjects.

Requirements:

* Regular active participation in exercises. Missing more than 3 sessions is grounds for not receiving credit.

* Completion of ongoing online tests within the specified deadlines and with the required success rate.

* Completion of two credit tests during the semester and a third credit test after the end of the semester.

* Online tests and credit tests are graded. To receive credit, a minimum of 5 out of 10 possible points must be achieved.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Derivation.

2. Description of objects in plane and space. Points, lines, planes, basic operations with vectors and their meaning.

3. Parametric description of curves. Conic sections, helices

4.-6. Parametric description of rotational, screw and ruled surfaces.

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Trigonometric Functions Derivation and basic properties.

2.3. Function Derivatives.

First Credit Test + Basics of Analytical Geometry.

5.7. Description of Objects in the Plane and in Space Parametric description of conic sections and helices.

8. Second Credit Test + Tangent Plane.

912. Parametric Description of Surfaces.

13. Schedule Reserve, Review.

Study Objective:

Development of logical and abstract thinking, theoretical mathematical basis for some professional subjects.

Recommended study materials are in the Czech language.
