The course introduces students to a structured approach to implementing technological and digital innovations in construction projects. Emphasis is placed on linking technical solutions with economic evaluation (CAPEX, OPEX, LCC, ROI, NPV). Students learn to identify critical points in the construction process, model their economic impacts, and formulate data-driven investment recommendations.

Basic knowledge of economics and construction project management. Elementary MS Excel skills. Active participation in seminars and completion of a team-based semester project.

The student:
understands the economic framework of construction investments,
identifies critical points in the construction process,
develops a basic economic model of innovation impact,
evaluates investment efficiency using NPV and ROI,
applies risk mitigation and Lean management principles,
defends an investment recommendation before a professional panel.

The course is designed as a practice-oriented module for 5th-year students focusing on economic evaluation of innovations and management of critical points in the construction process. The course includes economic modeling in MS Excel and mandatory AI logbook documentation when using artificial intelligence tools.
