Synopsis:

The course deals with the issue of water supply from the source, through the collection and treatment of raw water, accumulation and distribution of drinking water in the appliance to its subsequent use by specific customers (eg balneotechnical and food operations). The course also includes the basics of hydrochemistry and hydrobiology of drinking water and their sources.

Water sources, water quality in the source, abstraction facilities, protection zones

Methods of water treatment, Drinking water treatment plants, technological processes.

Surface water treatment - mechanical pre-treatment, preoxidation, primary disinfection, coagulation, clarification, high-speed mixers, flocculation tanks, flotation, filtration, high-speed filters, adsorption, membrane filtration, stabilization, hygienic security. Sludge management of water treatment plants

Methods of groundwater treatment - deacidification, deironing, demanganization, filtration, disinfection

Water demand - development, calculation

Gas stations - transport of water from the source to the consumer

Accumulation, types, functions, calculation, design of pressure zones

Distribution network - design parameters and requirements - topology, pressure conditions, pipe materials, fittings, fittings, construction and rehabilitation of water mains, control activities - flows, pressures, leaks

Water management issues of medical and communal spas, disposition and composition of medical and communal spas

Water, care and control, principles of design and construction, theory and technology of pool water regeneration

Application of additional devices and attractions

Economics - savings in design and operation, legislation

Groundwater hydrobiology and water hydrobiology

Hydrochemistry of drinking water

Study Objective:

Getting acquainted with the issue of drinking water sources, its treatment and distribution, including the application of water supply processes in specialized water treatment plants in various industries, such as the issue of spa and swimming pool water treatment.
