Methods for modification of material properties: phase transformations; diffusion, plasma and ion nitriding; IBAD, IBM and ion sputtering methods, PVD, CVD and PACVD methods, plasma spraying. Diagnostic methods of surface properties of solids: chemical composition analysis, RBS, GDOES, SIMS, AES, ERDA phase analysis, XRD, LEED, RHEED, diagnostics of application properties.
