Synopsis:

Division of special methods of welding and heat cutting, description of principle, application and use. High power physical welding methods: laser welding, electron beam welding and plasma welding. Special methods of solid welding, low heat transfer methods (with alternative energy types): friction welding, diffusion, explosion, ultrasonic, magnetopulse welding, etc. Other Welding methods: Aluminothermic welding, stud welding, high-frequency welding. Methods of joining special types of joints and special combinations of materials.

Detailed description of individual welding methods, method of joint creation, construction of equipment, parameters, use and applications, advantages and disadvantages, preparation of welding surfaces and weld types performed:

Plasma arc welding

Laser beam welding

Electron beam welding

Cold-pressure welding

Diffusion welding

Friction welding (conventional, FSW)

Explosion welding, magnetopulsion welding

Ultrasonic welding, high frequency welding

Aluminotermic welding

Stud welding

Welding with magnetically affected electric arc

Special methods of heat cutting

Special methods of joining: clinching, riveting
