- Synopsis:
-
The main objective of the course is to understand how the simulation software works and how to work with it. The process will be divided into casting mould casting, pouring casting, casting cooling and associated processes (stagnation, crystallization of structure, stress and deformation in casting, mould loading, etc.). Specification of initial and boundary conditions – e.g. heat transfer, air gap definition, metal tearing away from mould, etc.
• Physical model of numerical simulations of foundry processes for mould filling
• Physical model of numerical simulation of foundry processes - for heat transfer
• Physical model of numerical simulation of foundry processes - for solidification
• Physical model of numerical simulation of foundry processes - for casting cooling.
• Physical model of numerical simulations of foundry processes - volume defects
• Physical Model of Numerical Simulation of Foundry Processes - Stress Modelling in Castings
• Physical Model of Numerical Simulation of Foundry Processes - Structure Modelling
• Basic description of mathematical numerical methods
• Mathematical model of numerical simulation of foundry processes
• Marginal and initial conditions and their assignment in a real process
• Simulation software and its capabilities, getting to know the most used software
• Working with simulations and their evaluation
